I couldn't agree more with you! Of the 9 foods listed I regularly eat 8 of them (not the soybeans) in my normal every day diet, starting with breakfast.

Try this: Whole grain cereal sprinkled with ground almonds, add natural yoghurt instead of milk and top with blueberries. Drink a mug of hot cocoa made with water not milk or a glass of cranberry juice. A delicious start to your day.

At 56 I am slim, active and pain free and look at least ten years younger than I am.

Thumbs up on that list, except soybeans which I believe do more harm than good.

I love your list - especially the cocoa :-) I make a habit of eating all of those foods - except for soybeans. It's possible that older women should avoid soybeans because of their effect on hormones. The Asians eat fermented soybean dishes, like natto and tempeh, and their effect seems to be different. Soybeans are in so many products these days and I eat some - I love a chicken nugget made of the beans. They're better than 'real' chicken to me. Still, caution might be wise.
