Apple cider vinegar removes warts!

July 16, 2009

Did you know that you can bust a wart off in no time with Apple Cider Vinegar (or as it is affectionately known as ACV)?

I haven’t had any warts to try this on, but a close friend of mine just did this a couple weeks ago on a planters wart that he had been annoyed by for months…

How to use ACV to remove a wart

  1. Get a cotton ball (or a piece of cotton) and soak it in Apple Cider Vinegar
  2. Place it on the wart
  3. Cover the wart and ACV soaked cotton ball with a band aid or tape of some kind.
  4. Go to sleep!

Do this each night before you go to bed until the core of the wart is gone. In many cases it will only take a day or so…

The longer approach

If you are afraid the acidity of the ACV will irritate your skin, you might want to just soak the wart in warm water mixed with a cup of ACV for about a half and hour each day. It probably won’t work as quickly, but still should do the trick!

Bob, you are spot on. Yes, as the author of The Healing Powers of Vinegar, I can personlly attest that ACV did get rid of a wart on my thumb (before a B&N book signing)–and the dermatologist’s asst. was wrong…no surgery was needed and it did not return. Plus, had a painful wart on the bottom of my foot. Didn’t want to go to the doc and be laid up so I couldn’t swim, thus ACV came to the rescue again (but it was a little more time consuming, and smarted a tad) but it did its work. Yep. ACV can does zap warts, and it’s much more gentle than the doc’s methods.

Thanks for contributing to Take Charge of Your Health Care Carnival. I will keep this tip in mind should I ever get a wart.

This is amazing! I came across this page a few days ago and decided to try this on a wart i had on my finger. It stung a little, but the wart is completely gone! This is an awesome and cheap solution to warts.

Hi!

Just another testimony to how well this actually works! I had a large wart on the side of my foot, not quite on the bottom…it grew until it made it painful, and very unsightly. I tried over the counter meds, had one doctor “freeze” it, and finally had another actually perform minor surgery to remove it. It grew back! (And, it was extremely painful!) I was at the end of my rope, and stumbled across the ACV remedy on the web.

I doubted it would work, but I tried it anyway. I just completed my 4th night of the cottonball method, and the nasty wart is black – just like it is supposed to be, according to all the ACV websites! I am looking forward to maybe 4 or 5 more treatments, then it should come off! Amazing! I will also continue with the cottonball a few more days after that, because this wart is rather tenacious…

Hard to believe it is that simple, and inexpensive! Makes me wonder how many other things we pay so much money to have “fixed”, when there are actually natural remedies!

I too have a large wart on my foot that has been there for years. It’s over 1.5cm diameter. I’ve used the cotton ball method soaked in ACV in the past. When it turned black left it. Eventually i was able (after 1-2 weeks) to pick the black bits out but found that the wart just grew back.

This time i want to know how long i carry out this treatment for before stopping the need to put ACV on my foot.

What i also did differently this time is to soak my foot in warm/hot water then sand away the layer of skin with a pumice stone. I’m finding that it makes it easier for the ACV to penetrate if i do this.

It’s also amazing painful at night that it keeps me awake so this time will be the last time i try this but i want to make sure i do it properly because i’m not going through this pain again for it just to grow back.

Thanks for your advice..

I just began with one on my ring finger today, about 2 and a half hours ago to be exact. I got a bit curious and looked. It has already puffed up and turned white as if I’d been using salicylic acid for two or three days. No pain as of yet which is surprising because it just looks so…different. The look of it definitely does not match the feel of it. I definitely recommend putting vaseline on the surrounding skin though. Obviously the stuff is caustic.
