Fight Aging With Wu Long Tea

March 17, 2008

Aging is essentially the culmination of the many physical and physiological changes that take place within our bodies as we grow older in years.

Ongoing research over the years has resulted in conclusive proof that one of the major factors that causes aging are free radicals. These free radicals cause several of the visible signs of aging including wrinkling of the skin and dark spots as well as the other invisible signs, which include heart disease, arthritis, cancer, inflammatory disease and Alzheimer’s dementia.

Causes of Free Radicals

Chemical additives in food, eating processed foods, pollution and stress all contribute to the increasing levels of free radicals that invade our bodies on a continuous basis. This gradual but constant onslaught by the free radicals takes its toll eventually and damages the body slowly but surely.

How to Reduce Free Radicals

Your best defense against the damaging process of free radicals is to increase the level of antioxidants in your body. Wu-long tea, offers you an enjoyable and safe way to increase the antioxidant level in your body without having to resort to taking drugs.

Rich in thearubigins, theaflavins and catechins, which replicate the action of antioxidants, drinking Wu Long tea is a completely natural way of destroying the free radicals present in the body. What’s more it tastes great and has absolutely no side effects. What a delicious way to keep aging at bay and stay young!

Keep in mind that most store-bought teas including Wu Long are typically over-processed before being sold and hence have much lower levels of these essential antioxidants, especially catachin. This could be a complete waste of money as the potency of the antioxidants in these teas is rarely if ever, strong enough to reverse or retard the aging process.

Feiyan Tea October 18, 2009 at 7:41 am

Wulong is also famous as a weight loss tea, along with Feiyan Tea. Feiyan isn’t so popular in the US, it’s more well known in the UK. Interestingly enough in China itself neither of these teas are used for weight loss. A brand called Bishengyuan is the most widely used weight loss tea here (I live in China). It’s interesting that the Chinese teas people use outside China for weight loss aren’t even used by the Chinese people themselves
