By the way Sorrel tea made from hibiscus flowers is extremely good for hyptertension and contains a large amount of flavonoids. Please read this article for more information on that plant as opposed to the north american leaf variety.

This is so interesting but sorrel the “Jamaican” drink (it is a drink well known to the English Caribbean, not just Jamaica is not the same plant. It is otherwise known as roselle or rosella.

This is very interesting but the sorrel leaf is not the same thing as the dried flowers used to make the “Jamaican” sorrel drink that is commonly made at Christmas in many islands of the caribbean. This sorrel is a red flower related to the hibiscus, otherwise known as flor de jamaica or roselle.

Sorrel is my number one drink . It clears my urine quickly so I know it has to be beneficial.
