Steam baths are fine and dandy, but a major caveat for many of us would be the toxic chemicals in the water that, when in vapor form, are easily absorbed through the lungs, not to mention through the "open pores". Cancer causing chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride for example. I suggest using a good filter to remove these substances at the tap. Or, even better, before they enter your home. Any health benefits are offset by this toxicity, of which the detrimental effects will more than likely be attributed to something else due to the long time it will take to affect you. Thank you.

I love using the steam bath at my gym. I just wish they would clean it more. Some days I go in it and it smells awful and I don't use it. Its amazing how clean my skin feels after spending a few minutes in the steam bath and then rinsing with just water in the shower. No soap needed! :)
