Just as a fish tank’s water pH level needs to be tested, so does our body’s. Just about everything from stress, to the air we breathe, to the foods we eat causes our pH level to change. Simply put, most people in our modern society are functioning with a very low (or acidic) pH. This is bad for just as many reasons as it is good to have a balanced pH.
According to Sybil E. Wander (Nutritionist) when a person’s pH is balanced they will notice improvements and reductions in…
- Sleep problems
- Allergies
- High or low blood pressure
- Blood sugar challenges
- Hot flashes
- Poor vitamin and mineral absorbsion
- Mood swings/depression
- Digestive problems
- Stress and tension
- Hypoglycemia
- Skin problems (too oily or too dry)
- Arthritis
- Headaches
- Sinus congestion
- Lack of energy
- Flu/Colds less frequent
- Detoxification
- Premature aging
- Heartburn
I have noticed from personal experience that as I have worked restore pH balance in my body, I have more energy and have gotten sick less often. Our bodies have a much more difficult time fighting off sickness and disease when they are acidic. In fact, cancer growth is inhibited in an Alkaline environment. So, when looking at your overall health, having a balanced pH is a very important aspect to consider.
The reason for both is that our bodies are always working to maintain that balance. So when we have a pH imbalance, our bodies use lots of energy to try to restore that balance.
